DESCRIPTION:Syilx Water Forum 2023 \nDATE: March 22\, 2023 \nTIME: 9 am – 2 pm \nLOCATION: Summerland BC \nCONTACT: Leasa Kennedy\, Event Planner at events@syilx.org or 250-707-0095 ext. 233 \n  \nThe Water Forum is an annual event hosted by the ONA Natural Resources Department that works to promote and create public awareness of Syilx Okanagan People and their sacred connection to siwɬkʷ.  One of the main goals of the Water Strategy is to improve the way water is managed within Syilx Territory and ensure that clean\, flowing water is properly respected and available for all living things. \n  \nEach year of the Water Forum focuses on a different area within Syilx Okanagan Territory and the water in that area\, as well as different topics to focus on each year.  This year\, we will be touring the Trout Creek restoration project and its connection to local Syilx families and history in the area. \nForum is in person and registration is free and open to everyone\, lunch will be provided. \n  \nHere is the registration link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfJ44-fJ6WTb_t4JvxYHqpEQyQth_GY39JyHCmnjjqFPI5cHA/viewform?usp=pp_url \nDISCLAIMERS:\n1.
